Big news! QuickCheck, Jumia, and PayAttitude have partnered to offer credit facilities to Nigerians. The loans will be offered without collaterals through a credit scoring algorithm.
Drum roll! Plentywaka, a popular on-demand bus-sharing company in Lagos Nigeria has announced new routes. The new route cuts across Ahmadu Bello way through Ademola Adetokunbo to Ajah. The platform unveiled new partnership models, with plans to launch new fleets by January 2020.
Next on the Big 5, popular browser company Mozilla partnered the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to unveil open speech data in voice technology for African languages.
Also, Visa and MFS Africa have partnered to expand its digital payment services across more Africa countries. MFS will leverage the deal to offer Visa services via API to over 180 million mobile wallets to more than 15 markets.
Finally, Crypto Valley Venture Capital (CV VC) invested $75000 in PocketJam a crypto startup based in South Africa. The funding is in a bid to boost two startups that took part in its CV lab incubation program with $125,000.
