Vox Telecom is a telecommunication and ICT company based in South Africa. They offer a number of solutions including cloud service, broadband, voice and data service, business collaboration, web hosting, and conferencing tools. They have announced a launch of a Managed Firewall Service to small and medium enterprises in South Africa.
This new feature will help protect small and medium enterprises from cyber attacks. The firewall technology will reduce the risk of security breach into the private network servers of enterprises. The Managed Firewall Service will protect computing systems by blocking certain programs from accessing information from local networks.
Compared with large organizations, SMEs suffer a greater risk of security breaches. These businesses are more vulnerable to ransomware. Larger organizations hire cybersecurity experts and instill policies for staff.
Vox’s Executive Head for Cloud and Managed Services, Craig Freer said that they customized Fortinet’s solution for sale to SMEs at an affordable rate. Fortinet is a global company that provides innovative cybersecurity solutions.
The SMEs will also have access to security reports from Vox. The firewall will help better manage network usage and data consumption. Certified firewall engineers will set up policies that will help protect your business data and network. Firewalls will not only protect your network from malware and intrusions, but they also connect multiple branches and allows staff to securely access authorized systems even when working remotely.
