Opera Mini browser and Mdundo, a leading African music sharing platform has joined efforts to step up music beat. The partnership will allow users to listen and download music of their favourite African artist via the Opera browser platform. It will also enable the Opera browser to bring African music fans closer to their favourite songs.
Mdundo is a free music download platform that offers the best hit and biggest music catalogue playlist. The site offers music of top African artists from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Uganda, Mozambique, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
It enables artists to keep track of fan base by listing music on the Mdundo’s site. This partnership further increases market value and enable more users to download local African music.
The Product Director – Opera Mini Africa, Michael Gray noted that the partnership with Mdundo will enable users to access a catalogue of music. It will also enable Opera to expand the reach of popular music service in Africa.
Meanwhile, the inclusion of Mdundo’s music catalogue on Opera Mini will bring more visibility to Africa artists. This will increase artist popularity, fan base and the number of music streamed or downloaded.
In addition to the above, Opera Mini users who choose to listen to music on Mdundo music catalogue can download their favourite music via the platform.
