Ogun State, Nigeria has launched Ogun Tech Hub– an open living lab and pre-incubation space designed by the state government to boost local creativity and innovation in Nigeria. The hub was launched by Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Ogun tech hub will aid technologists, tech companies, social entrepreneurs and impact investors to co-create new solutions to the state’s social problems. The hub will also aid players in the tech ecosystem to innovate new technology.
According to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, “The Government of Ogun State is partnering with the public-private sector stakeholders to create opportunities, upskill and expand the job space for our teeming young men and women and those who have innovative talents. The hub is situated in a former college which was commissioned by an older government as part of the digitalization drive in the state. The Ogun state government aims to convert all colleges across 20 local government areas into technology hubs.
The state government will work with Civic Innovation & Media Hub on implementation partner for the new tech hub. The hub will be a brewing ground for individuals and startups to build new skills, connect, share and solve challenges that can boost the quality of life.
