The initiative by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to create an innovation and entrepreneurship center in Kenya has been welcomed by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

President Kenyatta made the declaration following bilateral talks in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has directed the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development to create an innovation and entrepreneurship center in Kenya, after discussions held during the President’s working visit to the UAE.

“Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces,” the official Emirates News Agency stated, “Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development has announced its plan to establish an innovation and entrepreneurship center in the Republic of Kenya.”

The innovation and entrepreneurship center will focus on developing programs, workshops, and projects aimed at advising aspiring and established Kenyan entrepreneurs on how to inject innovation into their businesses to strengthen the country’s economy.

According to Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Khalifa Fund and the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s directive to establish a center for innovation and tech-focused entrepreneurship in Kenya is part of the UAE’s ongoing commitment to empowering talented innovators and entrepreneurs around the world.

“Through centers like this, we give entrepreneurs with the resources, support, and direction they need to contribute to their local and global economies, resulting in beneficial economic consequences and security,” says the author “According to Al Hammadi.

He continued, ” “The UAE and Kenya will collaborate to apply the Khalifa Fund’s successful model to the new innovation and entrepreneurship center, with the goal of reflecting the same levels of achievement in Kenya as has been experienced in the UAE.”

Al Hammadi stated that the Khalifa Fund, which was just named the best-in-the-world by the Global Monitoring Index, is committed to strengthening and elevating Kenya in a similar manner in order to help Kenyans find work.
