Apple introduces Apple Teacher Portfolio, a free professional learning offering designed to assist teachers in championing innovation.

Apple Teacher Portfolio, a new self-paced professional learning offering from Apple, is designed to help educators bring innovation to every lesson and topic, regardless of where learning takes place.

Apple is also releasing updates for its Schoolwork and Classroom applications, as well as the popular Anyone Can Create curriculum, all of which take advantage of new iPad and Apple app features.

Apple Teacher Portfolio is a new appreciation badge that educators can receive through the self-paced professional learning program Apple Teacher Learning Center.

The free offering assists educators in making the most of Apple technology at each stage of lesson planning in order to help students unlock prior information, explore a subject more thoroughly, and apply understanding.

Using apps like Keynote, GarageBand, and iMovie, educators can improve their work with engaging daily lessons for students using 21 models and lesson ideas inspired by the Everyone Can Create project guides.

Apple’s Everyone Can Create curriculum has been updated to take advantage of the new iPad features and apps such as iMovie, Clips, and GarageBand.

The Drawing guide has been modified to include motion graphics and animation in Keynote, and Photos also includes instructions for creating animated GIFs in Keynote, as well as the Camera and Photos apps.

The Video guide will go over how to make short films with a green screen and other special effects, while the Music guide will go over how to make podcasts with GarageBand.

With support for progress data and time spent on papers, videos, and connections allocated in Schoolwork, educators will soon be able to gain even more insight into student activity.

New app updates will allow teachers to share Schoolwork projects with colleagues by exporting assignments generated in the app.

Projects may be reimported into Schoolwork or exported to other platforms.

Additional sidebar improvements increase navigation by providing faster access to classes, tasks, and student accounts.

These enhancements would make Schoolwork an even more effective tool for assisting teachers in managing and personalizing teaching.

The Apple Teacher Portfolio is now available in the Apple Teacher Learning Center.

The Everyone Can Create guides have been revised and are now available for free download from Apple Books.

Also, new versions of both Schoolwork and Classroom are available in beta now through AppleSeed for IT.
