The first micro-investment site in Nigeria, Trove, confirmed that it has introduced to its platform Bitcoin and many other cryptocurrencies.

This means that Trove users, in addition to their current local and international stocks, ETFs and bonds already on the Trove platform, would be able to buy and sell major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple’s XRP, Tron, and Dash directly through the Trove app.

What we have developed is a real-time crypto-currency trading platform designed with a user-first approach and optimized for speed and security, according to Oluwatomi Solanke, CEO & Co-Founder of Trove Finance. We are excited about the possibilities for our users that this opportunity opens up.

We should foresee a rise in the acceptance of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as Trove adds cryptocurrencies to its platforms. Nigeria became the world’s second-largest Bitcoin market, according to a study from Quartz Africa in 2020.

Their platform is designed with users in mind, according to Trove, and will allow users to place market orders and limit orders for the various cryptocurrencies now available on the platform. Oluwatomi, Trove’s CEO, also commented that in the near future, additional crypto-specific features would be available.
